În timp ce la mai multe ceremonii de decernare a premiilor Oscar din ultimii ani au fost premiate filme care nu au avut mare succes la public, producătorii speră că posibila nominalizare a filmelor Barbie și Oppenheimer va duce la o creștere a interesului și a audienței.
Consensul general este că Oppenheimer, Barbie, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon și The Holdovers vor obține nominalizări.
